Valentines Day #1!

Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

I may not be the biggest fan of this holiday since I'm not as fortunate as others when it comes to romance! But I am a pink loving girly girl and any excuse to have pink everything makeup is okay with me.
This is a more girly style Valentines makeup; very pink and cutesy. So obviously not everyone's taste. But feel free to tone down the pink eye shadow or go all out with a bright pink lipstick.

First off, you need to start with a blank canvas.
I began with the eyes so no foundation or anything on the skin just yet.
Apply a neutral concealer all over the eyelids and a matte white eyeshadow.

Now the fun part, adding colour. So this is a sort of traditional smoky eye but with pink colours. I applied more white eyeshadow over the eyelid towards my nose. In the corners of the eyes I used a darker coral pink and blended that into the crease and outwards. I then took a slightly lighter pink and applied that just below the brow bone to connect the two colours. The key here is just to keep blending you can never blend too much!

Now that you have applied an even application of eyeshadow and thoroughly blended it, it's time to add eyeliner. Use either liquid eyeliner, gel eyeliner or an eyeliner pen whichever is easiest for you. Draw along the top eyelid and turn it into a flick on the outer corners of your eyes. Go over the eyeliner to ensure it's thick, black and even on both eyes. Now is also the time to add a little more pink to the eyes if you feel it's needed.

I then reached for a rosy pink blush and applied it directly onto the apples of the cheeks. No contouring or sophisticated cheek bones here, you want cute rosy red cheeks. Apply a little at first and build it up if you need to. Make sure it's blended in properly. Use a highlighter at this point if you would like.
